How could I make my bunk beds into one large bed?

‘m looking at making my room more mature looking, and plan on taking apart my bunk beds. I would really like to find some way to incorporate them into one bed, but I think put together the headboards and footboards would look odd. Here’s a picture of what my bunk beds sort of look like

Does anyone have some ideas for making a headboard that I could possible fit over the current one? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

you could put the two side by side and then put a cover, like a slip cover ou can buy in any fabric store or wal mart, and put it over the head and/or foot board. it’ll look nice. they make slip covers for sofas, chairs, etc. i’m sure you could find one to fit. by the way, there is no pic on that link. it says the item is discontinued.

Alright for a brother and sister to share a room?

set them side by side, you will have a twin or double bed.

Just putting them side by side definitely works, and I think the idea for a slipcover over the matresses would work also.

For a headboard, just get a piece of ply wood that is the right size for the beds, cover it with batting using a staple gun, and then cover it in any kind of material you would like. You can just nail it to the wall.

Put the two box springs together, and buy a queen size mattress. That way, there is no gap.

Put the two headboards side by side, and make a slip cover that goes over them both. You can always pad the headboards first to make them look cushy!
