Re-designing my son’s room?

My son is 5 1/2 and I want to make his room more inviting for him. I am open to different kinds of sleeping arrangements (bunk beds–for fun).. and creative plans..I want him to enjoy his room more…Any ideas of what would be fun or pics of room arrangements would be most appreciated…I know we’re putting in a bookcase, but the rest is open… (we are expecting another child soon–so I want to make my son feel special too)

Go online and go to HGTV.com. Search for kids rooms and you will get alot of ideas. I assure you. Best of Luck

I would use furniture that will last until he moves out. A bed, dresser, desk, the basics. Decorate with those things that are his favorites, be it animals, cars, sports, trucks. If you use only accessories which reflect his likes at this age, it will not be as expensive to change or adapt them as his interests change and he outgrows his current favorites.

I think it’s always fun to put the bed up high with a little space underneath. It could be a play area now and a desk area when he gets older. It’s a great way to make the most of floor space in a small to med sized bedroom.
