I love this because it is so unique and affordable! It is only 140$ at wallmart.
You see i have a small bedroom and stil live with my mom for a few more years. im 17 so do you think i am the only 17 year old with a bunk bid? I realy want to get this because my room is small and i have loads of electronics and desks. i was thinking if i got this i know i would have LOTS of more room but do you think this is okay for a 17 year old? Please friendly comments only .
But i…like spongbob lol jk Well no my room is in red and black
thanks so collage people use these?! Ahh i feel much better now!
Wow yeah il have to remember that because sometimes when my dog barks i throw myself awake with a jolt and i may bump my head a few times.
Thanks donna! Wow i hope mine lasts long! Lol its going to be my boyfriend that helps me make mine
There are lots of people that have bunk beds in college. Now if the bed has sponge bob, then that’s probably not for a 17 year old…
a couch/lounge area?
I want to get a loft bed with a sofa type thing underneath but haven’t seen anything I like that’s also affordable so I wanted to just go for a bunk bed and convert the bottom? If I just throw a bunch of pillows down there, will it be comfortable? Has anyone tried this before?
threse rule! yes, did the same thing years ago when i had a studio apt.
i would add that the structure of a bunk bed accepts downward force, and note that i added framing to the back and sides to allow for sideward movement. i needed only 3 boards.
oh, and if you add a light overhead, its a great reading spot.
i went so far as to include tables at each end of the sofa.

On a metal tube type bunk bed, how many pieces does it come in to be assembled and what are those pieces? I have found a bed we are considering, but it is a bunk and we would like to use just the top part (like a loft bed). We would have other items underneath to stabilize. But is that even possible? Can you leave off the bottom bunk mattress slats/holder piece, and still have the complete sides?
The construction of many of these beds is such that it is just barely able to stand under normal use when assembled as designed. If you deviate from the design, it may not stand at all.
It isn’t that these products aren’t any good. The problem is that consumers are always shopping for the lowest price and so manufacturers shave every expense in order to produce a product at a competitive price. But that leaves little margin for excessive wear, abuse, or alternative uses.
If you want a bed that has an open area underneath, but one that is designed that way. Otherwise, you will likely be unhappy with the results.
If you do choose the bed I recommend, it will likely have a ladder, two ends, two side rails and a row of supports for the mattress. These beds can usually be built in about a hour and typically pretty easy to assemble.
I have a 2 and 3 year old that share a somewhat small room. They have adorable beds but we need more room, any ideas where I can find a toddler bunk bed? I have looked on a zillion sites and can only find the normal size bunk beds and the smaller ones I have found take up too much room or are loft beds instead of bunk beds….any help is appreciated!! Thank you!
you should just make them share a twin bed if you dont have alot of room. There is no such thing as toddler bunk beds. Or you could get a trundle bed that they both can share. I am thinking of getting one but they do cost a bit of money.

You could always go on craigslist and look for things you need second hand.
