What do I do about an uncomfortable bed?

My boyfriend has been complaining that our bed is uncomfortable. It don't feel uncomfortable to me, but I've been known to sleep just fine on hardwood floors, plus he's had back problems since he was a kid. He's started sleeping on the bunk bed in the other room. Despite the fact that this leaves me with a nice big bed to streach out in, it makes me sad because I have no boy to snuggle up next to. :(

Short of buying a new matress, what should we do?
I'm sorry for my appaling grammar. "It don' feel" indeed. I'm smarter than that, I promise!

Spring for the new mattress.

Get your city's PennySaver. Look through the ads for the dude who works at the mattress factory. You'll get a great quality, new mattress for pennies on the dollar.

You could try turning the mattress over?

If flipping your mattress doesn't work, try buying egg crates or memory foam and putting it on top of the mattress to add some cushioning. They use egg crates in some hospital beds, also.

My husband and I purchased a foam pad that covers our mattress, it was inexpensive and made a huge difference!
