How can I separate my bunk bed?

I have a bunkbed I would like to separate but I am not sure how too.
In this picture below, (this is not the bunk bed I have) but you will see how
they connect in the middle. (my bed is connected like that
and I am not sure if it is glued because how will I separate that part?)
I pretty much know how to unscrew and remove the
pieces but separating the connected woods that seem to be glued…how to?
Thank you, and I would appreciate answers.

very helpful

Those look like they are made specifically to be taken apart. You need three other people, and each one lift a corner of the bed. It may be just a rod sticking out of the bottom one with a hole in the top one’s legs. Lift it up and see what happens. If nothing happens, then break out the circular saw. Lay it down on it’s side to start cutting.
